         I helped create the new front end architecture for MoneyGram’s in store solutions.   We will be implementing additional functionality for both agents and consumers, as well as providing a streamlined mobile component for users.   This solution is designed to roll out across 190 countries in 2015. 

 2013   MCX  Merchant Customer Exchange                        Product Development

          MCX is the new payment network being established by an alliance of the world’s largest retailers.  Companies like Wal-Mart, Sears, Target, Shell Oil, and 40 other companies own MCX.  It is designed to compete directly against Visa and MasterCard. I was developing the MCX mobile payment solution which will be used by most of the largest retailers in the US such as Target, Wal-Mart and Sears.   I  finalized the POS API, and Settlement Specs, as well as the mobile fuel solution as part of the MCX project.   The fuel solution will be implemented by giants such as Shell Oil all the way to C-Store operators like Circle K, Racetrack and 7-11.  We used a mix of Agile and Waterfall methodologies for this development.  I helped lead the negotiations with large payment processors and vendors to enable a streamlined payment solutions.

        I developed retail payment solutions for many of America’s largest merchants.   We have built PayPal Retail POS solutions into merchants like Home Depot, American Eagle, Barnes and Noble, all the way to Toys R Us.   We worked directly with hardware vendors, ePOS manufacturers, and Payment Switch providers so that we can enable large enterprise merchants to accept PayPal at the Point of Sale.   These solutions incorporate payments, financing, coupons, loyalty programs, dynamic reporting, mobile marketing,  m-commerce, as well as e-commerce. Traveling extensively, I met with the CEO and CIO of Fortune 500 retail companies and presented next generation payment solutions in the e-commerce, mobile, and retail sectors.         Successfully negotiated with terminal, POS, and Payment switch vendors to incorporate the new PayPal solutions into their product offerings.      I also managed a $12 million development budget that incorporated Sales Engineers, System Architects, Developers, and project managers.  During this time, I helped develop the product road map for PayPal’s POS and mobile wallet solutions.
